Episode 2

   Life they say doesn't give you what you demand but what you deserve

"She picked up the baby".

Damilola let out the breathe she never knew she had being holding,she picked the folder on the table, and gave it to the man.

"Take this to my lawyer,tell him to keep this and that he should take no futher action until I call him",she said .trying to mask the pain that she felt.her breasts felt heavy and tender,it was throbbing and painful.she missed the beautiful smile of her baby and wished she could atleast feel the warmth of her succulent body but somethings aren't meant to be.

   "Dami!the plane would take off in the next 2 hours,we can't afford to get to the airport late",Joshua said from across the corridor,entering the room in long strides."If you had taken care of your mess early,there would be no need for this long face,but you don't listen, you are too..."

"Too what!",she cuts in,you refer to the little gift that God gave to us as mess,you have forgotten she is my child,my first child" She screamed,tears falling rapidly from her eyes."You call that thing a child,dami!"Joshua turned her face towards him'you call that result of a dirty affair a child,when will you grow up?he asked hands akimbo "tell me, what will you tell people when they ask you who fathered the child,would you tell the truth woman!,would you"he asked,searching her gaze.He laughed sarcastically,"common talk",he pulled her agressively towards him.

"Would you tell them that my dad,who is supposed to be her grandpa, is responsible huhh"he laughed again."think about the headlines,wouldn't it be good for my campaign publicity expecially when no one saw you when you were pregnant"he left her,walking towards the bedroom.Dami stood up from where she was and stood at the door of the room,looking at Joshua."I want my baby back!",Joshua looked back at her,anger disfiguring his look,he walked towards her looking menancing,he pulled her with her ears towards the bed,"listen up woman,you would do no such thing,not while I am close to achieving my goals,do you understand"he thundered,Dami nodded in affirmation."That is my girl,now reapply your make up,look hot and sassy,we don't want the press notice anything,do we?he questioned."No",she replied

"Women,they think only about themselves,too dramatic,that is why they need us in their lives to spice things up"Joshua said to no one in particular.

    The drive to the airport was hitch free,soon they were airborne heading to Abuja.Dami frequently looked at Joshua, hoping she hadn't made a mistake.
