I'm nearing the end of my internship at Ineffable N.V.
🙌It's finally week 8 and all the interns are doing their best to finish our final projects.
From week 6 to 8 were were assigned to work on 2 different projects, namely:
Social Media Conference Suriname 2022 (SMCS22) & Jeanluc.sr.
Today's blog will be about my contribution for SMCS22. I am part of two different tasks regarding this years conference, creating content for TikTok and tasks for volunteer coordinator. I'm going to write about my experience working with my team to create content for TikTok.
For those who aren't familiar with the Social Media Conference Suriname (SMCS),
it is an annual conference focusing on the developments in the field of Social Media in Suriname, the Caribbean and the rest of the world. The first edition was in 2017 and the conference has grown yearly in sessions, participants and speakers from Suriname, the United States, Chile, Curacao, Trinidad & Tobago and the Netherlands.
What are the goals of SMCS?
- Share knowledge about various aspects of (social media) marketing.
- Bring like-minded people together while also creating lasting connections.
- Build a community that continues to exist outside of the Social Media Conference Suriname.
The last two editions of SMCS (2020 & 2021) were fully digital due to COVID-19. This years' Social Media Conference will be an IN-PERSON event on the 27th & 28th of October 2022 and it will be hosted at the Ballroom & Banquet Hall Torarica in Paramaribo, Suriname.

Alright, know that you've been informed about SMCS22, let's meet my teammates, the amazing content creators😍
From left to right, we have:

and finally, you have me (Grace Karijodiwirijo).
We were assigned to create 14 different TikTok videos. Thankfully we got the freedom to decide if we're going to do individual videos or with everyone. It was quite a challenge to pitch certain ideas to our mentor at first, because the concept had to be appropriate for SMCS22.
The audio shouldn't be too long, too short and of course no cusswords. So picking the right audio was definitely important.
The goal of creating content on TikTok, was to promote this years conference.🤗
💫This assignment gave us the chance to get to know each other better and share our knowledge to create fun, relatable and exciting content.
Our plan to shoot was very last minute. Lydi-ann, our project manager for this assignment, contacted me if I wanted to swing by her house and work together. So I asked her if it was possible to meet with everyone at her house so we could all shoot the TikTok videos. Gladly everyone was available last Wednesday.
We started from around 18:00pm to almost 22:30pm.
There were a total of six videos that we had to film together. We started to shoot the first half of the videos, without dressing up nicely and without make up. After finishing the first part of the videos, we got all dressed and ready to shoot the second half.
Shamiel is also a make up artist so he helped Luciano prep his face and I was happy to glam the beautiful miss Lydi-ann. She wanted a look that matched her dress nicely, so I gave her a smokey blue eyeshadow to compliment her whole look.
💙🤍 Funny enough, we never planned beforehand about our outfits, but guess what... in the end we all had same dress-code! It's that crazy?
