Youth Triple C Houseband

This band was initially not intended to be one that plays out in the public... It used to be a Youth Gospel Band🙈
It all started when my old church (gemeente Duta Watjana) gathered a group of teenagers and set up a music school. That way the younger generation could carry on the tradition of the older generation that started playing music in church. The group was pretty big in the beginning. There were some playing the guitar, other ones keyboard, bass guitar and even a few boys behind the drums.

These teenagers were to perform in church from time to time, when there were specific events in church. I was kind of a side line type of person in the beginning, since I felt like an outsider at that church.
The group already had a few people who sang for the "Duta Watjana Youth Gospel band". So I never really asked if I could join, until they needed someone who could sing in harmonies without any difficulties. One of my friends from that church (Agfrah) introduced me to the group and after that I officially joined them.

✨Our live performance at Duta Watjana Church on Mothersday 2014.✨

We played a lot in church, at parties of family members from the group or someone from the church. Word spread that there was a young band in the making to become something great, so we got more offers outside of our community. People did ask if we could play other songs besides gospel ones. After long consideration, the elders that sort of managed our band allowed us to sing other genres besides gospel.

The band started around the year of 2013. Some of the players quit the group due to personal reasons or school. Youth Triple C became a thing because the people that stayed behind usually practiced at one of our bandmember's house, who happened to be one of the leaders of Triple C houseband (one of the well-known Javanese housebands back in that day).
Performing was always fun and exciting. I enjoyed every moment on stage with my friends/bandmates.

After a few years, the group split up due to people having to focus more on school and other technical issues.

It was definitely something for me. Happy to be #alive and experience all the good there is to offer!
