Ibiza’s ancient fortress, Dalt Vila, is one of the most iconic historical landmarks on the island. It was originally built to defend the island from invaders and has stood the test of time through centuries of history. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the fortress offers a fascinating glimpse into Ibiza’s rich past, with winding cobblestone streets and stunning views of the surrounding sea. You can walk along the old city walls, visit the impressive cathedral, and explore the charming plazas inside the fortress.
The views from Dalt Vila are breathtaking, especially at sunset when the sea glistens and you can watch boats coming and going from the harbor. The whole area has a timeless, mystical atmosphere, with a blend of influences from different cultures, like the Phoenicians, Romans, and Moors, all of whom left their mark on the island.
For me, Ibiza is magical, not just for its history but also for its wellness scene. There are plenty of Pilates studios and healthy spots to visit, which is great because I’m always on the lookout for new, healthy places.
But of course, Ibiza is also famous for its nightlife! It’s one of the best places in the world to party, with incredible clubs and music festivals that attract people from all over the globe. And as a true foodie, I can’t forget to mention the amazing restaurants here — I love exploring the best spots to enjoy delicious food.
