OMG! What are you doing? Move on to the next Stage post when its available and you get 3 new lives

Wrong; I should still have 1 life left on "stage 1". Here's the actual sequence of actions:

1. I use the !manyarrows command.
2. After almost a minute, @wizardzap didn't post a response so I edited the command.
3. @wizardzap responded saying I failed and used up all my life points for the stage.

So what needs to be checked is: if a player enters a combat command but @wizardzap fails to post a response, did @wizardzap still process and count the attack as an official attempt?

Is a good point, pending what happens it might..I suspect i may be writing to file before the post. I will check order for next revision.
