Although these courier services have also moved to online platforms but still they have intermediaries that play the role of exploiting the senders as the parcel is not directly delivered, it has to pass through different nodes which increases the risk. So to resolve all these prevailing issues in the courier system, a new and innovative platform has been launched called SHIPIT which is based on block chain technology which makes it easier and safer.

The platform aims to create a revolutionized and a safer ecosystem for making successful shipments on time. All the information shared by the sender is safe on the platform. Instead of sending the parcel as a courier it is send as an express packet. Also the sender has the option to choose a receiver in case the package is delivered while he is on a holiday. This is done to reduce the shipping cost. The platform is available on web and also has a user friendly app on which the users can easily login and track their parcels in real time. The sender does not have to worry about any stolen packets or delayed deliveries or authentication of the seller as the package is received only after multi-factor verification. The platform does the screening of each client to guarantee that all the safe entries are made. With block chain integration all shipments are done in the most convenient manner and brings more transparency in tracking. Smart contracts help to build a safe community of clients whose data is stored on the platform. The security is given a priority so all the delivery processes follow a unified monitoring procedure worldwide.

According to IBIS World experts, the industry has a lot of great opportunities to grow in the near future because the economy will see a paradigm shift through increased consumer spending and increased demand for goods that will automatically boost up the need for delivering parcels all over the world. The present size of the courier industry is $240 billion. In the coming years where more and more start-ups are capturing the global market they will need such robust and efficient delivery systems that are safer and can handle far more complex situations.
