[Part 1] First Impressions of Switzerland and Cryptovalley

in #ico7 years ago (edited)

This is my first time traveling to Switzerland. I must say that I was astonished and that it exceeded all my expectations. I came here with two objectives:

The first was to participate at the blockchain conferences, Finance 2.0 and ICO Summit. And it was absolutely worth the investment of coming here. I had the opportunity of watching some lectures which argued for a bright future for ICOs and Token offers. It mentioned, for example, that there are 70 crypto investment funds being formed currently around the world. This will mean an influx of more USD$2.2 Billions in capital looking for innovation. Also, one of the speakers said that “something especial is brewing” and that in the next 12 months many jurisdictions around the world will pass regulation to make ICOs legal.

We also pitched and had a booth at the ICO Summit. An amazing event which added a lot of value to our upcoming ICO. We met a lot of possible investors and partners. If you are planning on doing an ICO, going to those industry events are a great way to invest your marketing budget.

Another conclusion is that there is still a lot of noise, scams and poor projects out there. For that reason the community is kind of self regulating and creating frameworks to assure the quality of the projects. I will write more about that in a future post.

The second reason I came to crypto valley was to network with potential backers and partners. In that regard, we enjoyed some early success. I will write more about the amazing people I met here at Crypto valley in part 2.

I sometimes worry about bitcoin at night. There is some comfort in thinking that every night, we are getting closer to the moon.
