RE: So, You Want To Save The World? Okay, Let's Save The World!

in #ideas4 years ago

Hello there,

who are you talking to right now? To me, aren't you? We both- you and I, we live right now, right here not in the same place it seems? I don't know where you live, I live in Germany. Of course, it's the same planet, I might as well say the same solar system and even the same Milky Way and the same galaxy.

What does that change about the real fact that you and I don't live together, for example, in the same house? We don't have the same parents, we don't have the same family history, we don't have the same siblings, we don't have the same friends, experiences, educations, it seems, different beliefs, and and and. We are clearly different from each other, can you agree with me on that? You are not the same as me in any way, except in a general sense. You are a human being, I am a human being. We live on a planet that makes aliveness possible.

I never said that you (and I) should not solve problems, on the contrary, please read more carefully, I said "you have no choice but to spend time and energy on your life", which implies that of course you have your problems and want to solve them.
Rather, I am confirming you that you are capable of solving problems for yourself in the best way for you, because only you can tell exactly when something is dissolving or solidifying for you. No one else can.

Are you my Bob (solving my problem of being overly-optimistic by discouraging such folly)? Because if so and you do succeed in that attempt then you will have proven me right by solving a problem that was out there in the world. :)

LOL, great spin, I'll be your Bob if you want. And might as well be Alice. Same counts vice versa.

It's enough to try to solve what you make out to be a problem for you, basically you've already confirmed that. Problems for me are present situations that occur every day, they are never of a general nature, because there is nothing that repeats itself exactly the same. Everything is different from each other.

For my part, I would like to make the suggestion - and for you this may involve contradicting your concern for a think tank - that one does not need to think up solutions in a vacuum "for the world". For my part, I think we live and learn from real stories that have actually happened and have already been used as examples of solutions. I think this is sometimes called best practice, especially when it is not just an empty phrase.

We like to tell ourselves the really good stories in life, especially if they are based on true events. This takes courage, inspired spirits, pioneers who dare to do something against all odds that most would advise against. I don't think you have such a different approach, because every little problem that you solve satisfactorily for yourself is part of the big picture. You can always save the world if you don't want to save it, but dare to go your own way. So maybe, it's only your design and the chosen topics which are funded and occupied from way more powerful organizations and corporations. Are you absolutely hundred percent certain, that this idea for the tank is born out of your own life experience, your drive for having joy in problem solutions?

I'm sorry if it's a scary or uncomfortable topic, I'm not trying to disturb you. But I believe it's an important issue.

Hmm.. I think it disturbs you more than it disturbs me. I hope I could deliver my perspective on germs in the above comment and what I wanted to make clear that I am not afraid of germs or viruses. I find it less important, that's all. I don't share the notion and try to avoid the warlike language which sneaked into this matter.

Have a good ... morning (?) evening (?)
