Back in 2002, I underwent an operation for a triple bypass at Jersey Shore University Hospital. This led to another operation as I received an infection from the procedure. This is a story for another time but not too long after this I found myself without health insurance. It was recommended to me that I make an appointment with Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey. They not only took over my cardiac care but I wasn't billed due to my financial situation at the time. I have insurance now and I am still a patient of Deborah.

I know Chris Cuneo a very long time. As a matter of fact, he was an employee of mine at one of the many record stores I managed. I always respected his artwork. Over the years, we would occasionally run into each other and briefly catch up. I am very proud of what he has accomplished with his brother in regards to iHeartHorror Day. The man has a good heart and the fact that he is raising money for Deborah Heart and Lung Center makes his cause very personal for me.

On Saturday, February 1st, the Brothers Cuneo will be presenting their third installment of iHeartHorror Day entitled "GroundhogZilla." Taking place from 11:00am until 7:30pm, this year's venue will be the Active Adult Center, located at 423 Main Street, in Sayreville, New Jersey. I went to last year's show and was immediately impressed with the layout of the event. There were vendors, scream queens, live music, authors, special effects artists, actors, podcast hosts and so much more that I had to circle the place numerous times before I could honestly say I saw everything, which I still don't think I did.

Josh Zuckerman, of China White fame and his own successful solo career, led off the music last year. He is returning this year to play "The Wedding March" on violin during The Zombie Wedding taking place live at this year's event. The happy couple will have to win a silent auction to take part. Father Evil will be performing the ceremony. There will also be a Bill Murray Zombie contest, where you can come as any character that Bill Murray played in his career in zombie form.

These events are always dangerous for me because I am like a kid in a candy store. I was introduced to horror writers such as Viktor Bloodstone (who is actually Brian Koscienski, Chris Pisano and Jeff Young), Tony DiGerolamo and Lisa Hodorovych last year. As of this writing, Hodorovych, Koscienski and DiGerolamo are expected to return. In addition, JC Walsh, Tim Meyer, Jason Marinko, Daemon Manx, Steven Farkas, Frank Edler, Brian DuBois and Christopher Michael Blake are all scheduled to be there in person to give one-on-one insight on their stories. Tickets for this event are $15.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door with a special price for children. To see a guest list or to purchase tickets early, visit www.ihearthorror.net .
