What on Earth Could Possibly Draw You to California?

I'll toss you $0.03, with an upvote, but compared to other states, California is a broke socialist's state. Lots of reasons not to move there, especially if you've lived other places on the planet.

I, for one, was extremely glad to see the state in my rear view mirror. Awesome spot on the planet, if it weren't for all the mis-programmed people mucking it up. :)

Thanks :)

I've spent most of my life living in the midwest, but spent some time living in a few different places. CA felt like home. I felt like I belonged. Maybe I'll change my mind after I'm there a while and want to go somewhere else, I usually do.

Where do you prefer @thecleangame?

I prefer more liberal states, where you can do little things like have a garage sale without needing a permit. lol I prefer states which have reasonable rates for electricity and a higher education on cannabis. Weird, they've had medical cannabis for 20+ years and the state is mainly ignorant about the facts of cannabis.

Yes, I prefer more liberal (get out of my house!), cheaper, more relaxed population types of states. ;) Currently this means Colorado for me. I have fewer restrictions on growing cannabis, the electricity and other prices are also significantly lower than California. The population is significantly more tolerant and down to earth than Southern California. I have to admit, I didn't spent much time up north and it may be more tolerant there. Prices and legislation are still the same.

Your mileage may vary. ;)

I lived in CO for a while. FoCo area. What part of the state are you in?

When you say the state is mainly ignorant about the facts of cannabis, do you mean that individuals are ignorant about it? In what way?

I was there 7 years ago and the dispensary owners were ignorant, the bud-tenders were ignorant and the people on the streets were ignorant.

It was as if none of the cannabis information, coming from the top growers in California, hadn't filtered down through the masses at all. It was like being around people educated about cannabis by High Times. sigh

Anyway, the state has significant issues. Colorado is the hotbed of innovation with cannabis currently. Anyone over 21 has the freedom to work with cannabis in their own home, without licensing or fees. The inventions and companies being created are staggering in numbers and scope. Just awesome. ;)

I see the economy recovering quite well here, with a bright future ahead. ;)

That's a legit point. Something to think about, for sure :) Thanks for this perspective.
