Freedom, Principles, and Immigration

in #immigration8 years ago

A popular thing to argue about these days is “immigration”—also known as “human beings trying to cross arbitrary, imaginary lines made up by ruling classes.” If you ask me, the link below will show you about the most civil, rational discussion you will ever hear about the “open borders” vs. “closed borders” debate, and how it relates to self-ownership and a voluntary society. As much as I’m tempted to elaborate and pontificate, in the name of fairness I will let the debate speak for itself. I think I covered everything I wanted to during the back-and-forth anyway. And it still managed to be well under an hour long!

I want to thank Adam Williams—the “good anarchist” in our “good anarchist/bad anarchist” routine (even though I haven’t even needed to get nasty on the show yet)—for his input, and especially wanted to thank Hunter Thompson for giving perhaps the most rational and principled attempt to oppose “open borders” … even though he is still wrong. (Snicker.) Enjoy. Or don’t enjoy. Get mad. Argue about it. Post nasty comments. Whatever.

Hi @larkenrose! Was reading some of your articles and would like to ask you if you are up to get some of them translated into Spanish language. The Spanish speaker community is growing now a lot here and we are looking for good content to translate. Im on Steemit.chat or Discord with this name if you want to contact me there, would be nice to translate some of your very good articles. Keep the good work :)

Yeah, I don't believe in "intellectual property" anyway, so feel free to do what you want with my stuff. The only think I don't want people doing is attributing to me things I didn't say. Otherwise, do whatever!

:) thanks a lot, I always put a link to the original work and the author in the translation and for sure, I always try to make my translations similar as I can to the original text, do not worry about it. Thanks again!

It's a pleasure working with you Larken. Hunter was an outstanding guest. Looking forward to the next one. Let's turn you loose full blast on someone.

Good job @larkenrose :) hopefully more of your work will be spread around like wildfire and make more people become anarchists :)
