When you think about editing software, imovie may not be the first name that comes to your mind. Sure you will think about final cut pro and Adobe premiere Pro; but these are paid software and you may not be in a situation to spent a lot of bucks. Fortunately or unfortunately (depending on your mindset), if you are a mac user then you don't have to worry about paying extra or installing bulk size extra software. Make way for imovie : the default video editor for mac. It's not as advanced as final cut pro. Neither does it have the wide range features of Adobe Premier. The beauty of imovie is that it is quite simple and easy to use and that it's absolutely free.
I had to create a short video for a school program; it didn't have to have animation or overwhelming filters. I wanted a decent short film,so I went with imovie. I needed to learn a bit about imovie and, as anyone should, I searched YouTube and found this simple yet useful imovie tutorial by the skills factory. It's just 15 minutes long but it prepares you on how to create a short film with the least effort. Do watch it if you are new to editing and do give a thumbs up to the YouTuber.
