Sabudana Kheer Recipe##Indian Sweet Dish:

It is probably the most common type of sweet and delicious food served on fasting days.As name suggests this tradition Indian sweet is made from small size sago pearls.This sabudana Kheer recipe is one of the easiest Indian recipes and can be prepared in less than 20 minutes.

INGREDIENTS:-

1/2 cup sabudana.
4 cups milk.
4 tablespoons of sugar.
1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder.
4-5 saffron strands.
2 tablespoon sliced almonds.
1/2 cup water.

  1. Wash sabudana in water and drain them.

  1. Soak them in 1/2 water for two hours. They will absorb almost all the water and their size will increase.

  1. Heat the milk in a heavy bottomed pan over medium heat.

  1. When milk comes to boil,add soaked sabudana.

  1. Add sugar and stir well until it dissolves completely.

  1. Cook them untill they turn transparent and soft or for around 10-15 minutes.Make sure to stir continuously.

  1. Reduce heat to low and add cardamom powder and saffron.

  1. Stir continuously until the milk turns thick. It will take approximately 5-7 minutes.

  1. Turn off the flame and transfer the cooked sabudana to a serving bowl.Garnish it wish sliced and serve warm or chilled.
