Today day 4 of Dipawali is Govardhan Pooja. It is the day when Lord Krishna defeated Indra by lifting the huge Govardhan Mountain. People make a small hillock, usually of cow dung, symbolizing Govardhan and worship it.
It is also a day to greet friends and relatives. Few days before I prepared an Indian Sweet Dish- Jalebi and was appreciated by family and relatives. So again I decided to make it on the next day of Dipawali and invites some friends. As it is also a tradition to make Jalebi and serve to the visitors who come to greet, next day after Dipawali.
One more interesting part of this get together was that it was a sort of steem meetup of 3 steemians of Udaipur Myself, @xyzashu and @mehta
There are so many instant Jalebi recipes but the authentic recipe needs 1-2 days of preparation time as batter should be ferment for 12-36 hours depending on temperature. It is really fun to make and pleasure to serve Jalebies.

Another interesting fact is that all the three Stemians who met over jalebi are vegan activisists 😊
