Bitcoin India: Last 3 Days To Claim Your Compensation From Coinsecure.in

in #india6 years ago (edited)

Coinsecure's compensation has taken forever, and many users are still waiting to be compensated for the loss of their Bitcoin held at this Indian Exchange. Coinsecure suffered a theft of 438 Bitcoin worth about $3 Million in early April.

If you lost your Bitcoin and haven't applied for compensation yet from Coinsecure, I suggest you head over there immediately and submit all the necessary details to make your claim.

You can view the claims agreement here

But this is what annoys me as a customer:

Users have to sign an agreement releasing Coinsecure of any future liability and provide certain other documents in order to receive the payment.

We will not entertain any claims received after June 30, 2018 and we shall have no liability towards any users who try to submit claims after the said date.

This no-more-liability agreement in their claims form goes against customers' interest. If the bitcoins are recovered tomorrow, customers are unlikely to be able to claim the entire sum that was lost after signing this agreement. However, if you don't sign it before 30th of June, you aren't entitled to any compensation whatsoever.

These clauses have certainly put me off as a customer from using services of Coinsecure ever again. Coinsecure seems to be trying to wash it's hands off the matter as quickly as possible.

Well I suppose in hindsight, storing your Bitcoins at Coinsecure, was anything but secure eh?

It's great to see the exchange compensating for the loss due to theft. There is so much talk about the negative aspects of the crypto market that news of like these need to be spread more. I guess people will have to eventually recognize the honest players in the market.

Did you received or any of your known received it so far

I wasn't holding any coins with Coinsecure at the time of the hack.

I am not using coinsecure
