Dear steemians!
I am going to tell you a Indian folk love story, hope you like it.
There was potter living in the village at the bank of Indus River, his daughter Shohni is very beautiful and blessed with a talent of pottery designs, their pots are very famous because of her designs.
One days a business man Izzat Baig from other side of the river bank, visited her shop to buy some designer pots, and he laid his eyes on beautiful Sohni. He regularly visited the shop to see Sohni.
He said "I Like your design, as well as you, You are more beautiful than your designs."
Both were fell in love with each other. Now her art turned from flowers to shades of her love and dreams. Izzat Baig wanted to stay in the village to see her regularly, so he decided to stay and join as home servant at Sohni's house with a name of Mahiwal. He had to take the buffaloes to grazing, and clean the shed.
When her parents came to know about their love by rumors, they arranged her marriage with another potter, and dismissed him from the job.
Mahiwal became crazy because he could not see her, this completely turned the life of him upside down. He renounced the material world and became a monk, and said the land of Sohni was a shrine for him. However the lovers met secretly at night.
She came to the riverside and he swam across the river to see each other, he brought a roasted fish everyday for Sohni, she also enjoyed to eat the fish roast very much.
Just like that one day he couldn’t find any fish, he searched everywhere but no use, and because time is running out he decided to take a slice of meat from his leg and roasted it instead, she wondered about his love and cried.
"Oh god! Do you love me this much?, You can't swim through the cause of your injury, so don't swim from tomorrow"
"How can its possible?, as I cannot sleep without seeing you" he asked.
"Don't worry I will swim to meet you by using big pot" she replied.
Sohni started swimming towards his side using a big mud pot, same time her sister-in-law spying on her. One day, she replaced an unbaked pot instead of Sohni's pot.
The pot dissolved in the river water and she drowned, he jumped in to the river as he see her drowning, he tried heavy heart, but in his attempts to save her, he lost his life too.
They were died but their love still alive......

I am so touch with this Indian love story. No matter how people try to separate the true love, they would always find each others. But how come their love still exist? When both died.
Still we talk about their love, that's what i said
