गौत्र याने अपने ही परिजन की हत्या करने का पाप लगता है।
ऐसा उपरोक्त कथन वेद व्यास के पुत्र सुखदेव मुनि ने कहा है।
पदम् पुराण में कहा गया है कि
धूमपान रतं विप्र दान कुर्बन्ति ये नरा: ।
दातारो नरकं यान्ति ब्राह्मणो ग्राम शंकर।
अर्थात् - जो व्यक्ति धूम्रपान करने वाले ब्राह्मण को दान
देता है तो वह दान देने वाला नर्क को जाता है और वह दान
लेने वाला ब्राह्मणग्राम (गांव या शहर) में शूकर (भडूरा) की
योनि को प्राप्त होता है।
कलियुग काल पठाइया, भांग तमा अफीम।ज्ञान ध्यान की सुधि नहींबसे इन्हीं के सीम।।
कलयुग में पापी रूपी कालभांग तम्बाकू और अफीम के
रूप में आया है। जो लोगों को ज्ञान, ध्यान के लक्ष्य से वंचित
कर, केवल इन्हीं के निकट रखता है।
