Ground breaking new data from India’s Chandrayaan-i has helped scientists prepare a map of the water trapped below Moon's top soil.
NASA’s Moon Mineralogy Mapper, which traveled aboard India's Chandrayaan-l, found that the amount of water is significantly more towards Moon's poles.
The concentration of water is about 500 to 750 parts per million, much lower than Earth’s driest deserts.
