Saddam and his regime maybe dead and gone, but his ardent fans in this tiny village on a beach in Kerala still cherish him as if he was their leader. Kappad beach has a large muslim population and they have always supported Saddam Hussien for standing up against American army. Not far from Kappad Beach, another beach in Mallapuram District is named after Saddam and this place is called Saddam Beach.
Kappad Beach is where Westerners first landed in India in 1498.
Idk what is happening to Kerala, Muslim youths joining ISIS, villages glorifying a dictator. People won't criticize such things in fear of being politically incorrect.
But something needs to be done
I don't think it's that simple an answer. The whole country is getting radicalised. All sections of the community. Caste and religious politics is not going to go away in India. It's only taking firmer roots.
