India is going to use Blockchain to prevent unsolicited telemarketing communications, Business Standard reports today, May 30.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) claims that it will be able to check the telemarketing spammers, who often use unregistered 10-digit phone numbers to evade tracking and other illegal activities for different purposes in INDIA.
Chairman RS Sharma claimed that Trai is “probably the first organization” to USE blockchain as a Registered Technological organization (regulatory technology) on such a large scale to implement it in governmental purpose.
