Kerala is a small state in the India that lies in the southern part of the country. The state includes only the Malayalam speaking regions and it is the 13th biggest state in the country by population, with Trivandrum as its capital. Malayalam is the language spoken in Kerala, but other languages, such as Hindi and Tamil are also spoken in the state. Kerala has some of the most notable credits when compared to those of other states in the country. The state features the lowest constructive population development rate in the country, the highest human growth Index, the highest life expectancy, the highest literacy rate, and the highest sex ratio, meaning it has more women than men. Agriculture is the main occupation of the people in the state, among which the manufacture of the natural rubber and pepper contributes considerably to the total countrywide output. It also produces higher amounts of coconut, coffee, tea, spices and cashew when compared to those of other states in the country. The state is also one of the famous tourist destinations of the country, with beaches, backwaters, tropical vegetation, and Ayurvedic tourism as its main attractions. The food in Kerala is simpleand easy to eat. The main food items are rice, coconut and vegetables, including fish as well. Food is generally eaten by hand and served on banana leaf. Sathya is made on the occasion of Malayalam New Year, that is Onam. This includes preparations from rice to 4 different torans, sambhar, preap, payasam, appam and chutneys. Native arts include koodiyattam, kathakali, koothu, mohiniaattam, padayari and theyyam.
