Hello steemian, on this occasion I would like to convey the tradition of citizens in Ramadan. This tradition of gotong royong may be an example for me and other steemian friends.

Villagers of Ujung Kalak Village, Johan Pahlawan Subdistrict, West Aceh District has a tradition of cooking with the menu of breaking the fast at the mersid yard during the holy month of Ramadan.

Every day in the month of Ramadan before breaking the fast the residents cook together at the yard of the mosque, various menus open the menu. This habit has become a tradition of heredity during the holy month of Ramadan.

Cooking spices are processed together in the yard of the mosque. Every citizen has their duty to prepare spices and ingredients.

The fast-breaking menu, at the Al Mabrur Ujung Kalak Mosque, is different everyday, such as Kanji Rummi, Kari Bebek, Mie Aceh, Eggplant Stir-fry, Sambal Lado Tenggiri and many others. But the mainstay of the menu is the typical Kanji Rummi Aceh from the Arab and Indian cuisine.

All the cooking needs come from Ujung Kalak community self-help, so this activity can take place every year. The cooking tradition ahead of the break-fast could be the only one in Aceh Barat, which is routinely daily for Ramadan.

Once cooked, the menu breaks the fast from the tradition of cooking together, distributed to the nearest mosques, orphans and the poor in Ujung Kalak Village. For those travelers who are on the way in Meulaboh City, please break the fast at Al Mabrur Mosque, with a special breaking menu of Aceh.
