Teachers & Students Laugh Because of Different Opinions About Sustenance
.
#Imam_Malik (Imam Syafii's teacher) in the Majlis said:
Surely the sustenance comes without cause, enough with the right resignation to Allah surely Allah will give sustenance. Do what is your part, then let God take care of the others.
.
While #Imam_Syafii (the student has another opinion):
If a bird does not come out of its cage, how can it get sustenance.
Teachers & students insist on their opinions.
.
One time leaving the hut, Imam Syafii saw a group of people harvesting wine. He also helped them. After the work was finished, Imam Syafii received a reward of some wine as a reward.
Imam Shafii was glad, not because he got wine, but the gift had strengthened his opinion. If the bird does not fly from the cage, how will it get sustenance. If he hadn't helped harvest, he certainly wouldn't get wine.
.
He rushed to meet Imam Malik the teacher. While putting all the wine he got, he told a story. . Imam Syafii slightly hardened the part of the sentence "if I did not go out of the hut and do something (help harvest), of course the wine would never reach my hand."
.
Hearing that, Imam Malik smiled, taking the wine and tasting it. Imam Malik said softly.
"This day I did not leave the hut ... just took on the assignment as a teacher, and thought a little how nice it would be if on this hot day I could enjoy wine. ...... Suddenly you came while bringing me some bunches of wine. Isn't this also part of the sustenance that comes without cause. Enough with the correct resignation to Allah, Allah will surely give sustenance. Do what is your part, then let God take care of the others. "
.
The teacher & student then laughed.
Two Imam Madzab take two different laws from the same hadith
That's how the Ulama saw differences, not how to blame others & just justify their opinions
Hopefully this can be a lesson for us Aamiin
