Tiruan adalah perkara krusial dalam setiap keterjajahan. Mereka yang dijajah, cenderung meniru yang menjajah. Bahkan bilapun akhirnya lepas dari keterjajahan, kecenderungan itu tak serta-merta purna.
Seperti Bani Israel yang terjajah di masa Firaun yang menuhankan selain Allah. Setelah bebas dari keterjajahan rezim Firaun, tetap saja cenderung meniru untuk memiliki berhala sesembahan selain Allah.
"Wahai Musa, buatlah untuk kami sebuah tuhan berhala sebagaimana mereka mempunyai beberapa tuhan berhala," begitu kata mereka yang diabadikan dalam al A'raaf ayat 138.
Padahal mereka sudah selamat dari kejaran penjajah rezim Firaun. Tapi mental peniru telah disisakan oleh penjajah pada kepribadian mereka. Maka meskipun telah merdeka, jalan hidupnya tetap meniru mereka yang telah menjajah. Hingga kini, pola serupa masih kita rasakan.
Counterfeit is a crucial matter in every craft. Those who are colonized, tend to imitate the colonized. Even if it finally escapes the empire, the trend is not necessarily full.
