Introduce and educate children about Tawheed
Rasulullah SAW said: "Open the tongue of your children first with the phrase" Lailaha-illaallah ". And when they are about to die, then recite, "Lailaha-illallah".
Indeed whoever the beginning and end of his conversation "Lailah-illallah", then he lived for a thousand years, then any sin, will not be asked to him. "(Sya'bul Iman, juz 6, p.398 from Ibn abbas)
According to the Prophetic Hadith above, then, in the book of Al-Amali p.475, Imam Al Baqir and Imam ash Sadiq ra said; the stage of introducing God to children is:

- At the age of 3 years and 7 months, teach him the words "Muhammad Rasullullah."
Educate children about Salat
Still in the same book, Imam al Baqir and Imam Sadiq ra explain how we should introduce and educate children about prayer.
After the child is 5 years old and has understood the direction, then try to ask where the right and left. Then teach him the direction of Qiblah and start to pray.
At the age of seven invite him to wash his face and his palms and ask him to pray.
Full procedure of wudoo can be taught at the age of 9 years. The obligation to perform the prayers and the punishment if abandoned is applicable at this age. At this age the child is usually good at understanding the order, rules and order.
liberties of child in education
With regard to religious education, there are some things that parents should do, among others
- Giving a good name.
- Graze and cut her hair (would be better done on the seventh day).
- There is a right of the child who is tethered to his father is to receive noble character teaching, writing, and physical exercise that nourish his body and inherited a lawful property.
About worship and other practices
As the child approaches the age of baligh, it is mandatory for parents to introduce it by fasting and mandate prayer. In addition it also instructs him to seek knowledge, memorize the Qur'an, and if not able then instruct him to take notes.
Subhanallah, what wonderful guidance the Prophet has given to educate our children. In the following cover is the explanation of Imam Ali Zainal Abidin in the book of Risulul Huquq.
"The right of your son is, know that he is from you. And all his goodness and badness in the world, attributed to you. You are responsible for educating him, leading him to God and helping him to obey his commands. "
"So treat your son as the treatment of a man who knows that if he does good to his son, he will get a reward and if he does bad he will obtain a law." (Al Khislal, p.568)
