How Does Nuclear Bomb Works

Hi Today let' talk about how does nuclear bomb works... But before that we need to know about the NUCLEAR ENERGY first...

First let us gain some knowledge about the NUCLEAR ENERGY...

So nuclear energy is the huge amount of energy that holds together the nucleus of every single atom. nuclear energy fuels atom bombs and power stations and every star in the Universe. It can be released either by fission or fusion.
Nuclear fusion is when nuclear energy is released by the joining together of the nuclei- as inside stars, where they are squeezed together by gravity, and in Hydrogen bombs. Usually only tiny nuclei such those of hydrogen and helium fuse. Only under extreme pressure in huge, collapsing stars do big nuclei like iron fuse.

Nuclear fission is when nuclear energy is released by the splitting up of nuclei. This is the method used in most power stations and in atom bombs. Nuclear fission involves splitting big nuclei like Uranium-235 and Plutonium.

When a nuclei splits, it shoots out gamma rays, neutrons and intense heat. In an atom bomb the energy is released in one second. In a power station, control rods make sure nuclear reactions are slowed and energy released gradually.

This is what we say the NUCLEAR ENERGY... Now let us go into the deep of how the NUCLEAR BOMBS [ATOM BOMBS] work in reality....

When a single free neutron strikes the nucleus of an atom of radioactive material like Uranium or Plutonium, it knocks two or three more neutrons free. When the neutrons is split from the nucleus enormous energy is released, and the newly released neutrons strike other Uranium or Plutonium nuclei, splitting them in the same way, releasing more energy and more neutrons. This chain reaction spreads almost instantaneously.

Atomic bombs were exploded in war in Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II.
