Hey peoples. :) I just wanted to sort of throw another notification/reminder out there about The Marketplace we opened not too long ago at the Information Finding Channel.
It evolved from our Information Finding Championship game, but it's totally stand alone and you don't need to be a part of our game to be a part of The Marketplace.
We already have numerous shops and visitors who aren't connected to the game at all. So please don't let that discourage you. :) This community is becoming much bigger than just the IFC game, and I think that's appropriate!
So what's The Marketplace? Well if you don't know already, it's both a tag here on steemit in the form of #informationfinding and a place on our discord channel where peoples exchanged goods and services with each other.
We've already had at least 25 verified transactions in The Marketplace so far and I think we've only been up for around a month or so?
We also have 20 shops or more, with all different kinds of services provided from various kinds of artwork to crystals and jewelry to some property that is for rent in Florida!
You heard that right lol, one of our merchants is even offering some property to rent through The Marketplace.
And I think all the vendors support steem/SBD.. I might be wrong, but if it's not all of them, it's almost all of them.
Do you have a bit of extra steem/SBD or cash or another crypto currency? Someone's birthday coming up or an anniversary or something like that? You might be able to find a nice gift in our Marketplace if you look!
It's all P2P. Person to person, we don't get involved in the deals at all unless someone tries to sell something illegal, and then we'll do whatever we can to discourage it.
I've personally already completed two deals myself and I'm in the progress of completing 5 or more other deals.
I'd say most of the business so far has come from the IFC community, but not all of it. So this is another reason I want to reach out to the larger steemit community every so often and try to bring more people in to help the merchants out.
We're really still just getting started, I think this could be much more popular in time.
AND... We now have @eaglespirit helping out at The Marketplace as well. (Thank you again for helping out Eagle Spirit!)
If you've met her, I'm sure you know she is very pleasant and enjoyable to be around and she does some really amazing card readings! As far as I know every single customer she's had has been very pleased! Very affordable prices too, I suggest checking her out if you're interested in having a reading done. :)
Anyways.. I'm probably forgetting a bunch of things, there's so much going on.. But I felt like trying to get the word out some more, especially cause.. A few of the shops haven't been doing as well as others.. Some are doing great! Getting lots of business, but others not so much.. And I'd really like to try to help them out and get some more customers in there. So.. Please stop by and check out the shops if you find any of this curious or intriguing or appealing. :)

It's definitely growing! I myself have made over 5 transactions and it's so simple through the discord and being able to pay with SBD I've earned here on Steemit is fantastic!
Nice of you supporting all the shops and trying to help them grow @apolymask! I know in due time it'll all come! Building the foundation is the hardest part but it'll be worth it for everyone!

The marketplace is truly a hidden gem here in steemit! I agree with kryptocek that in time this will be happening place of buyers and sellers! Its a unique concept in steemit and to be able to purchase with SBD/STEEM it's awesome! Lots of different services/products...And the property in FL is pet friendly! :)
Word is spreading, it takes awhile for messages to get around on steemit, but the word is spreading.
