Are the Kurds Capable of Defending themselves from Turkey?

in #informationwar5 years ago

In the latest developments and the NATO's recent change of flags between US and Turkey, the Kurds seem to be sandwiched, they refuse to be a normal group of community within the Syrian people despite the fact they came as refugees to Syria, and they want to challenge Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran at the same time.

Turkish incursion into Syria would eliminate the dream of the Kurds to establish their 2nd Israel northeast of the country, that benefits the central government of Syria, but the Turks are not to be trusted and have already a huge responsibility in bringing in and sponsoring hundreds of thousands of terrorists the likes of ISIS, Nursa Front, FSA and other al-Qaeda affiliates into Syria and assisting in their crimes against the Syrian people.

Syria already considered any Turkish presence in the country an invasion and illegal occupation and preserved the right to defend its sovereignty in all ways possible, for now the Syrians won't interfere to defend the separatist Kurds in the face of Turkey so the Kurds can break away with their 2nd Israel.

If the Kurds stop playing the traitors role they're playing now and submit to the Syrian government then the Syrian troops would be sent to the borders and the Turks will never dare to attack.

A member of the pro-Israel Quora Q & A wiki platform is worried about the Kurds ability to defend themselves from a Turkish aggression, he asked: How well-equipped are the Syrian Kurds against the Turkish Army?

My reply to him, which I'm copying below to preserve it from Quora's heavy censorship was as follows:

The Kurds in Syria were given constant supplies of US weapons, especially recently, but they never meant to carry out fights by themselves and were relying heavily on the US air cover.

In fact, their goal was never a nationalist goal or a sincere one, they’re just another tool of NATO to lure Turkey (NATO member state) into regions inside Syria and eventually create another Israel in the northeast of the country.

Given how quickly the Kurds capitulated in Iraq against the Iraqi army, and how quickly they were eliminated in Afrin by the Turks and their proxies, I don't see any reason to believe the SDF in it's outlandish claims.

It is interesting to see that they have just made a "completely independent" decision to suddenly reopen negotiations with Damascus

Never to be trusted again.
