People in Venezuela suffer.
The country seems in chaos, getting food and water is not easy.
Yesterday I read a post here on Steemit how people try so hard to get the bare essentials done doing multiple tasks at the same time that they suffer a nervous breakdown.
Now, our mainstream news is very scarce with news about Venezuela. Well there are a few big headlines about stuff they cant ignore.
Biggest Venezuelan bank temporary in hands of the state (May 2018)
At least 68 dead After riots and fire near Venezuelan policestation (Mar 2018)
President Venezuela gets fierce criticism during top in Peru (Apr 2018)
Venezuela claims to have collected 600 million dollar with own cryptocurrency (Feb 2018)
Do you see what is missing?
There are no headlines in people that suffer under the weight of bureaucratic BULLSHIT.
For news organisations there is money in headlines that manipulate business decisions. So that European corporations get hints where to put their money, and where to take it away. In Venezuela they cant make money, so they pull out from there.
Result, Venezuela will suffer more. Their currency will drop further. And guess what that means. THEIR OIL WILL BE CHEAPER. Even though they produce less oil, the oil companies just funnel every drop they can get out of there as fast as they can. Since the oil price in the rest of the world is NOT going down. The oil industry is robbing them at a moment they NEED the money as never before.
Now just wait for humanitarian aid funds (Like the Clinton foundation) to roll in. And oil companies will then 'generously' donate big sums of money to 'buy their souls free from the brutal thievery that is happening RIGHT NOW'
If those oil companies REALLY did give a shit then they would have been smarter to just pay the normal price and add humanitarian conditions to their oil deals. So that the Venezuelan economy would at least stay afloat, and that people would at least have the bare essentials to stay alive.
I nominate @ .... to write the next article in this series.
The rules of writing a Venezuela Observatory article
The people don't matter it seems, even tho the people are the ones who should be making these decisions corporate greed seems to win over all. It is sad to see the greed that rules everything. If only there were a way to get people to fight back against it all... something like steemit maybe?
Let's make some noise then. We should be able to make a difference.
This project only needs upvotes preferably real votes by real people who actually read this post and other posts that follow in this series.
We need as many observers as possible to write about this.
Let's use steemit as a tool to make that difference
I'm ready to make some changes! Let's get busy!!!
Thanks!
Would you be interested in writing a Venezuela Observatory Article and donate the eventual upvote revenue to this project?
I could certainly give it a go, I've been reading what a few others have posted on the topic and although i haven't done much blogging per say i definitely am interested in getting this info to as many as possible
We need to get a little bit of an idea what i s going on there, as the mainstream news is letting us down big time. i'm no journalist either, but i try to do what i can to at least TRY to help with the limited information i have available.
thanks for sharing your brain power
For a while we were getting a lot of new steemians from Venezuela, it seems that the new user stream from them has slowed down. One thing I like about steemit, is being able to go to the people to get the real story from their own backyard.
I think getting food on the table is more important then receiving 2 cents for hard work while shitposts get whaled with bidbots. When people loose trust is a website like this.
So i hope we can do something usefull while greedy shit just keeps going in the background.
I really hope to see real stories emerge here on steemit, and i'll be happy to support those people.
I hope that steemit makes small changes that gives good people more power and makes greedy bidbot circles less powerfull. The world is going to hell and we are feeding the greedy whales while real people need real food to feed real children.
I would love to see what would happen if people for even just a 24 hour period did not use any bots at all. But you and I both know that the greedy are going to be greedy. They don't care if their post get no comments, all they want is the vote, beg, borrow, or steal, votes is all they care about. That is why programs and groups like @newbieresteemday, @thedarkhorse's "Pay it Forward" contest, @aspers, and all the other groups that promote engagement are so important.
The people that belong and participate need to set the tone, don't use the bots, don't self up vote, vote for a friend, vote for a group, vote for something you believe in, don't vote on a vote buying post, you earn nothing, don't comment on a vote buying post you are just wasting your finger breath, the vote buyers don't give a shit about your comments or how you feel.
it would indeed be interesting to see one day without bots.
As long as greed is rewarded with LOTS of 'money' and normal people are punished by the SP of the greedy steemelite then there is no equality. And that is not a good thing for the platform
I hope the right people do read these comments one day.
The right people are us, those of us that have not been sucked into the black hole of the vote bots. I do not use them, the only people they serve are the owners. even though the vote is a reward from the reward pool, and not out of their pocket, they still see it as their money, and are going to make a profit at the expense of the buyer.
When people learn to Power up their sbd's and convert to steem and vote power the faster they will grow their Vote Power, and the more their Vote will be worth, making any reward they give that much more. At some point in time a person's vote becomes enough to where yes a self vote helps them grow, and provides for growth to others.
Increased Vote Power also means the ability to delegate some to people that need a little boost, for every vote a person buy they throw away the ability to grow their account. Very few of the vote bot are altruistic enough that you receive your investment back. I know people will say they buy them for the visibility. Do you really look at the trending page any more? I have seen so many people say they don't, that it is mostly bought and paid for. What good is a post with 882 votes, and only 53 comments? Me I don't even bother with such an imbalanced post.
All we can do is try and get people to be a part of the solution by setting a good example. my reputation number wise has not grown very much over the last 5 months, but my SP has started to take off. I have even been able to delegate a small portion, and will continue to do so at the right levels for me.
I fully agree with you @bashadow.
Maybe you could do a short and clear article about the Power up you mentioned?
I'm not sure I know enough about it myself :-)
Once people have a clear and simpleexplanation they will start to use it better.
I often see people mention Power up. But I have too many other things in my mind to really absorb the essentials and figure out what I should do.
thanks a lot for the feedback and i hope my tiny vote still holds other values
They don't really care about us, is the government a compulsory marriage, why would some group of people just gang up to exploit others, i cry for humanity.
They indeed don't care, so we should stop to care about them, and focus our care on people who really need it.
Fuck the elite, and power to the people. Let equality become the new standard, and let greed be a thing of the industrial revolution.
Equality NOW!
Here's some of the "other" reporting if you have the time...
thanks @cureblindnessorg,
i'm not a big fan of CNN, but this doesn't seem a bad report at al.
hmm
9:00 "70% of of Venezuelan inflation is related to the American dollar"
This is actually an impressive interview. Socialism actually seems to solve a few issues.
Socialism and Capitalism contradicting each other seems to create a lot of chaos.
Hmm that was a lot to take in, thanks once again, this interview actually restored a little bit of trust in CNN for me.
How did you come to think it was cnn(she just used a clip from their "coverage"), they would never buy Abby Martin's stuff. Thats why she's on TeleSUR and the like...
O i see, it looked like it was a CNN report due to that clip.
Hmm so vice is also starting to play with the big boys?
Money is being evil again?
I was not familiar with TeleSUR, i will now keep this on my radar, thanks

Please have a look at this, a great analysis of the same interview seem from the other side of the coin.
We need to find ways to decode these interviews in a way that the people who suffer get the information they need and how the politicians with their agenda perceive it and then find the road down the middle how we can be helpful and make a difference without heating up the argument.
But how...?
Left, Right, Ridiculous
Everything is as it is supposed to be according to our current systems....
Citizen: Please don't vote for that!
Politican: Who are you to tell me what to do?
Citizen: Who do I have to be?!

:-O Mort Sahl, that is brilliant!
automate everything, let machines pay basic income funds, and give every person a basic income.
those who design build, operate and maintain the machines get paid on top of their basic income
