So me and my fiance were at the grocery store doing our normal shopping gig, well we usually don't buy to much red meat or meat at all because it is just so darn expensive.
Now it could just be that 4 dollars a pound is about right, but I don't think you will sell that pitch to me. I like to hear facts and reasons not just a one line "that is not that expensive".
Now my opinion goes a little deeper and it looks at history as well, in the 1920's big farm organizations were working real hard to hold their wheat off the market to raise the price. The problem with this situation is that in a free market it was impossible to achieve their goal because smaller farmers would continue to sell their wheat at the market price.
Well long story short the big farm organizations achieved their goal with the Department Of Agriculture and now they get paid to loose crops at least this helps the big farmers not the little guys. They have enacted tons of regulations to push out the small farmers and make it so they can't compete with the big farmers.
So now when we go to the store how can we be certain we are getting a true market price for our meat or dairy (were not) Most people would just assume this is the market price, but essentially this is government's price as these prices would not be possible without the help of government.
So now government has made it so I pay more for my food and dairy which is great right!! No, Well I think I know what I am going to talk about tomorrow with government and how they restrict competition for broadband servers and how they don't have to compete, but that is for tomorrow thanks for reading guys please upvote, follow, and leave your thoughts on government making food more expensive in the comments.
