The problem is not with NGOs or charities.
It is that we cannot recognize sociopaths.
And sociopaths love nothing better than to get to the top of any organization.
Once there, the organization is no longer for humanitarian aid.
The person in charge couldn't even recognize humanitarian aid if it bit them in the butt.
Instead, they turn it towards more lucrative endeavors.
In the future, we will not give to charities, we will give to specific people on the ground trying to help. And with the internets, we will see and watch over what they are doing with our money.
The red cross should put out it eulogy now and save us the trouble.
