The growing conflict leading to Russian invasion of Ukraine has attracted sanctions from many countries, organisations and major firms, from economic and trades to sports, these measures are geared towards possible cease fire and peace talks.
The latest suspension from the sport world comes from International Judo Federation which issued statements on the suspension of Russian President Putin, the statement reads;

In light of the ongoing war conflict in Ukraine, the International Judo Federation announces the suspension of Mr. Vladimir Putin’s status as Honorary President and Ambassador of the International Judo Federation.

This statement comes hours after UEFA and World Football governing body FIFA suspends Russia from all competitive football. However, amidst suspensions by sports governing bodies, Russia has intensified attacks in major urban areas in Ukraine.
