iw-curator : @commonlaw
In the interest of curation is the need for curator's to read the article if it has the informationwar tag. This takes time. Thus if you are posting a post that is not informationwar related it would, help greatly if you didn't use the tag.
This free's up the curator's time for informationwar related post making it more likely that we will be able to curate your informationwar related post. The very real problem that is occurring is that people are using it for post that are not about our mission and purpose so I am re sharing that here.
Our Purpose
The tag informationwar is for posts discussing Information War, Propaganda, and Disinformation. This covers the history and methods of infowar, where it fits as a method of war, what fakenews is and how to recognize it, and tools for fighting the war.
Tools include critical thinking, logic, and intelligence methods
This also deals with the current war that the Deep State is fighting against us, and how we can fight back
The ultimate purpose of InformationWar is to give you tools to defend liberty in this war

Another @ commonlaw Bias and Prejudice!
I have discovered another bias or prejudice that I would like to share with IW content writers. When you use a term out of context in your post it makes your post confusing. To say it bluntly I have noticed that in some cases the meaning is so changed as to turn the post into disinformation. It also reflects a state of being that I have very little patience for. That state of being is called "ignorance".
I cannot in all consciousness curate a post were the terms create disinformation.
Ways to avoid the incorrect use of words in context.
- One way to avoid this is to define the term within the context if you are using the term differently than it is defined.
- If you are reporting or using the terms in context of someone else s article, state that and provide a link so we can check.
- Look up in a appropriate dictionary the meaning. So if it is About Law use a Law dictionary. If it is about economics use a economic source.
- cite your source.

I feel like this is all opinion based and it sucks. I always talk about how government makes our lives worse yet I don't always get resteemed or whatever which is fine, but if I get muted then well thats fine too just make sure you read peoples post.
@brockstory of course it is opinion based. How could it not be?
Why would I create a category within the post that says :
Another @ commonlaw Bias and Prejudice!
Might it be so that you can use those bias's and Prejudices to your advantage???
exactly it should not be opinion based it should be FACT based
A good #informationwar post will have facts, evidences and opinions in it but a rant about this or that is ok too because critical thinking is part of the information war too.
@brockstory What in your opinion is a fact?
yes! I love this policy, I am sick of people making up their own bullshit definitions for words that are already clearly defined.
I was not trying to create a policy, but an advantage for the IW writer. If the IW writers know what I, as a curator am looking for in a valid IW post they can simply KNOW they will be curated by following the guide. At least by me anyways!
So I am trying to furnish tools for IW writer's.
even if it is just your personal policy it would behoove the other curators to consider it.
I am sure they have created their own Bias and Prejudice post for exactly the same reason. I am glad you like it by the way.

I'd be curious to know what is and is not considered related to the topic. By name it would seem to be anything that debunks (or challenges) false media narratives, but it seems to be inherently North America focussed.
