I was absolutely disgusted when I came across a barely-talked-about-and-covered news story (entitled Major advertisers jump ship as YouTube hit with ‘softcore child porn’ scandal ) in which YouTube was caught blatantly promoting (and monetizing) videos with content that is considered child-porn (at least by those who watch them).
While this evil platform may attempt to absolve itself from responsibility for this heinous and utterly immoral crime (for which it will probably receive zero punishment) by stating that its "algorithms" are to blame for such a "glitch", there is no denying that the biggest video sharing platform in the world (with over 1.3 billion users/viewers worldwide, about 1 billion videos uploaded, and roughly 5 billion views a day) is engaging (or at least facilitating) in some of the most repulsive and reprehensible activities.
Child exploitation is a crime in most countries; and YouTube is getting away with it!
Where is the accountability? How come they are not reprimanded for these illegal and immoral deeds?
Here are a few highlights from the RT article stated above:
YouTube is in damage-control mode after several large companies, including Disney, Nestlé, McDonalds and Epic Games, pulled ads in response to a report accusing the platform of harboring a pedophile ring hiding in plain sight.
Multiple major corporations have temporarily suspended all YouTube advertising after learning their ads were playing before videos featuring minors as young as five performing sexualized versions of everyday activities.
“We’re absolutely horrified and have reached out to YouTube to rectify this immediately,” a spokesperson from advertiser Grammarly told Wired, while a World Business Forum spokesperson declared it “repulsive that pedophiles are using YouTube for their criminal activities.”
The advertisers were informed by Wired on Wednesday that their ads were playing before videos similar to the clips highlighted in blogger Matt Watson’s video exposé, posted earlier this week.
Watson’s report, which has been viewed nearly two million times, revealed comment sections packed with hundreds, even thousands of users sharing time-stamps of their favorite moments – usually catching the girls in especially compromising positions.
While I am not familiar with Matt Watson, his exposé (with over 2.7 million hits) does show the extent in which YouTube is promoting this form of child exploitation and how easy it is for pedophiles to use YouTube to locate contents for which they can do God-knows-what and also exchange disgusting comments about the scenes of the videos in question. I am only linking to the video and not posting it here, as I do not want to show any images or video that has children.
With all the mass censorship and demonetization YouTube has been involved with in the past couple of years (particularly with the SGTreport channel which exposes a lot of pedo-related criminals) as well as their recent crackdown (removal from search results and recommendations) of any video contents they consider "conspiracy theory" you would have thought that they couldn't possibly come out with anything more heinous. But, I guess we were wrong.
At some point, we the people have to start taking action and holding these monsters accountable for their actions.
So who is to blame? In a company like YouTube (which is owned by Google/Alphabet) the responsibility first lies in the CEO (Chief Executive Officer - that is the main person in charge of the company). For YouTube, this person is:
Susan Wojcicki, CEO YouTube
Her Twitter account is @SusanWojcicki - at the very least tweet your discontent to this careless and evil bitch.
YouTube has very little contact information (even though they have a ton of money and are the richest video sharing platform in the world).
Nonetheless, people should contact them, tweet the CEO to SHOW YOUR OUTRAGE about how heinous, immoral, and illegal this corporation is.
We have to start making these monsters accountable folks. If we remain indifferent and passive (i.e., not active) about this nonsense, then we are morally bereft as well.
Come on guys...

Wow, even though I posted this 3 weeks ago, only now is YouTube Shutting Down Soft-Core Channel Months After Creator Arrested For Pedophilia A few passages from the ZeroHedge article (link above):
Key word here in the above passage is: months!
Why did they wait so long to remove these channels if they had all the information they needed?
Why were they, instead suppressing, demonitizing, and censoring videos (such as those from SGTReport) who regularly report on pedo related crimes, including many very questionable videos on YouTube which received full advertising status, recommendations, and commenting?
YouTube, your entire staff and especially your CEO and upper-management team, you should all be ashamed of being part of an organization who has done such things, and still continues do to such things (esp. censoring those who are trying to expose such abusers). Shame on you!
YouTube, there is still time for you to get away from the dark side and your overlords of the Deep State. Join us instead, as we outnumber them by billions and we will support you if they try to blackmail you or otherwise. Be on the right side of History!
Fire Susan Wojcicki as YouTube CEO (at the moment more than 40 000 signatures) https://www.change.org/p/google-inc-fire-susan-wojcicki-as-youtube-ceo She turned previously free and favorite platform into a wild hell for Creator (suspended channes without any reason, demonetization, censorship, bugs, etc.).
VERY STRANGE!!!
Steemit hid or "greyed-out" your reply.
Why the hell did this happen? Was it to hide your comment about the petition? Very strange. Any thoughts about this? Could Twitter have infiltrated Steemit somehow? Should we Steemians be worried that this is a sign of things to come?
