I always enjoy your posts on the current administration and their battles. While I don't wholesale agree with everything you say (I think you give Trump's intelligence far more credit than I do, and I tend not to discount the Russian investigation in its entirety) I enjoy the analytical nature and your ability to lay out your points as concisely as you do.

I'm very aware of the possibility that Trump is just a conman who wanted to be President ;>
I also think the Russians were doing something; they had to afraid of Clinton and whether their bribes were outweighing the Chinese bribes. The reason that I discount the Russians did itcompletely though is that there is not also investigations into any of the democrat shenigans (uranium sales to the Russians, for one thing); they want the infowar to be played on their field, we want it played on ours ;>
Thanks for comment
I totally agree, I think the mistake is that the Deep State seems to be laser focused on the Russian election hacking, instead of a much wider situation. The Chinese are involved, the Saudis are involved, and, as always, the Clinton/Soros team are very much involved.
It's more complicated than just Russian election hacking ;)
Propaganda is going to be most effective at mass levels, which means keeping simple and with easy recognizable villians...
otoh, since Clinton and the Democrats had been sucking up to the Russians (all the way up to Syria...), it made this particular line of attack silly, I think even to more LIVs than they estimated
That's the oddity I've always wondered about, why they would go through with a massive uranium deal with us and then ruin Hillary in the election, why they would see Hillary bending over to them for years on Syria, but not want her in power.
they are afraid she isn't an honest politician...one who stays bought-off.
they were very likely concerned that the Chinese would out bid them at crucial points; Russia is a lot more worried about China than they are with us
The Chinese would be able to. Their economy is SMASHING right now, which is why they're not letting ICO's in. They see a centralized economy that's controlled by the state and are afraid if they decentralize it, it's going to crash.
Here nor their, but the Chinese would win that bidding war. Russia needs MidEast oil and Saudi and Syria Money to balance the equation. Thus, Syria.
I was under the impression that the appearance of a successful Chinese economy was a shell game, but to be honest, I haven't looked at that in depth
