It looks to me like the downvotes cost far less than the upvotes. I don't see that they are governed by any curve. I could be wrong. I would like to point out that I am now afraid to voice my observations of the fork because I fear retribution. I am even a bit concerned just commenting on your post will draw some powerful entity's ire, and a 5% downvote from one of those would leave any of my posts well into the red.
