Yesterday, Anders Tegnell, Sweden’s lead epidemiologist did a mea culpa about their approach to the corona epidemic. Sweden did not set down a strict lockdown, but left all shops, bars and restaurants open. People could keep on visiting eachother up to maximum gatherings of 50 people.
But the epidemic keeps on demanding casualties now, more than in other European countries, and that could have been done better... Afterwards, it is off course easy to say. This man deserves more praise, he did what he thought was best and admits that things could have been done better. I have not heard such talk from other scientists over the world, not even from the WHO. Daring to admit mistakes is a value, this man deserves a medal, not shame and slander!
Sincerely,
