More than 20 years have passed since the so-called "revolution" and only Venezuela has been destroyed, progress has been left behind and it has been moving away from Venezuela with the highest rates of migration in Latin America ever seen, the Chavez movement managed to dislodge the country, and turn it into an abandoned land, full of pain and despair. We have been living for so many years under a system that has never allowed us to be free, it has never allowed us to move forward and see beyond basic needs.
I wonder what it will feel like to be free ?, because sometimes freedom is not just being locked in a cell, sometimes freedom surpasses many levels unknown by those who have not suffered the highest misfortunes or who have had needs. Freedom can be everything you do when you are not pending if there is going to be light or not, when you are not aware of whether there is going to be water or not, of walking through the streets without being afraid of being robbed of anything for very little value that seems to have, is fear; To have freedom is not to be afraid.
Freedom is not something that is bought is something that simply must exist, living tied to basic needs such as queuing for hours to buy a food, to throw gasoline, to get money from a cashier that normally does not reach for anything, freedom it is something that does not necessarily deprive you of leaving somewhere, but deprives you of doing everything you want or of obtaining everything you want, freedom is to be able to live in peace.
Freedom is something I do not know and I know that many do not either, because I was born under a system that does not allow it, a system that I did not choose but that does not allow me to advance. The faces of Venezuelans are a reflection of the suffering of a desperate and discouraged nation, eyes full of sadness, wrinkles, dark circles, gray hair; the disheveled hair of those who day after day seek to survive, is what I see walking through those empty streets that left the revolution like a hurricane that destroys everything in its path, freedom is choosing to live every day in one place and not having to leave the fleeing.
Freedom is something that should not be turned off every 3 hours or every 4 hours with a power outage, freedom is something that should not be dried with days without water, freedom is something that should not be dirty and smelly like the streets of Venezuela full of trash, freedom is something that should not be feared as the insecurity of walking through the cities of the country, freedom should not close our eyes with fear to demand our rights but quite the opposite, freedom is screaming the truth.
I see the mothers tired, I see starting their children and my friends that for so many years I have known, Venezuela became a country of emigrants, a wasteland, a country full of loneliness, the freedom of Venezuela is something that will not come back alone , if not rescued, we can not give away a space that belongs to so many and that only a few have taken it. The countdown to freedom is being marked, it is a tense moment, full of despair and anguish.
The last hours of Chavismo?
January 23, 2019, we are writing history, Juan Guiado proclaimed himself interim president of Venezuela after a vacuum of power due to Venezuelan laws and a fraudulent election that would leave Maduro politically uncovered, despite his effort to establish a constituent assembly seen before the eyes of the world as a fraud. Hope has been reborn, weeks have passed that have marked decisive hours to understand that Chavez is being massacred, have no way out and will do everything possible to stay in power, destroying humanitarian aid, closing steps for medicines and food , encouraging armed groups to flog the population. Falling in despair is a game to which the government throws the dice with 6 on all sides, they want us submissive, they want us sad, and it is the truth; This is how this regime works, because they are bad, they have left the country in darkness and dozens of people have died from power cuts, a hundred people have died from medicine and another hundred from food, they do not care about anything, they just stay in power, I think that when one is more desperate is when it makes things worse, I hope to be right and can write soon as they really were the last hours of chavismo, because I am certain that they are cornered like rats, like the cowards they are and I know that Venezuelans can not stand it anymore and in any chance we have we will not play all against all, if they are afraid of war because they fear because the war is in Venezuela for a long time and now it is more shameless because the armed ones are the bad but good we are more.
