Writing something, and not getting any responses to it is equals to receiving a shadowban. As if you would talk only to yourself. And nowadays this is what most people experience on the Hive blockchain. This is because most people focus on posting, and not on commenting. There are too much content creators, and just/only a little content consumers. Almost everyone focusing on posting leads to a lot of ignored/overlooked posts. It is enough to take a quick look around. Even some of the popular and socially active users are experiencing it.
Agreed, and yet - I enjoy the conversations found in Hive. It helps that unless I understood incorrectly, comments are also "posts" of themselves. There is therefore little physical limitation for your comments to get reach. How often do you see people on mainstream social media go "I wanna see the comments on this", even though the likes on those platforms are essentially worthless?
In other words - be the change you want to see :) There is potential here. It's the community that should step up, and make the comments an interesting ground

You know, I came here because I couldn't find you on Discord and I wanted to invite you to our Community Punk Legends and to see if you might want to negotiate the price on a few punks... But after reading this, I just had to go through your back catalogue to see what you're referring to and I'm a bit surprised.
I've committed Steemicide/hiveicide a time or two for speaking out against hypocrisy and I lost a lot for doing so. Back in 2016, when the dolphin club first started their voting ring and I was invited, but within a month I blew it over calling one of them out, because I couldn't stomach the fact that they were flagging new people for plagiarism, while at the same time upvoting another dolphin for literally copy and pasting an entire book into the trending page, just to get his daily payout.
What @explosive said about the shadow ban is absolutely right, and one of the main missions in that community Punk Legends is to have everyone read posts and comment and that is why I bought delegation, to reward comments to incentivize user engagement and to reward non-content creators.
I'm really glad that Punks led me to this post and I have some ideas that I would like to discuss with you off the blockchain, so whenever you have some free time message me on discord.
