Fighting corruption also requires tact. The idea behind prosecuting political thieves usually is because they make good news, but realistically, not much comes out of it with all the resources we deploy.

Lets look at a few case. PDP Chairman Uche Secondus was alleged to have On the 19th of Feb 2015, taken N200 million only from the office of the NSA.

Former PDP Financial Secretary was alleged to have on the 24th of Oct 2014, taken N600 million only from the office of former NSA.

Former National Publicity Secretary Olisah Metuh on trial for allegedly collecting N1.4bn from the office of former NSA.

Dr. Raymond Dokpesi, Chairman of DAAR Communications on trial for allegedly taking N2.1 billion from the office of the former NSA.

Former SSA to President Goodluck Jonathan, Dudafa Waripamo-Owei on trial, over N830 million allegedly kept in accounts of four different companies.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s Cousin Robert Azibaola in involved in a $40 million trial.

So, a total of N19.3 billion is what we have been chasing with these 'thrives' for 3 years with not much to show. You can estimate the cost of prosecution, the media hype, the personnel and do your maths.

But, we have watched how this government told us in her words "JAMB in 40yrs remitted only N52m to the FG, and in 1yr under Buhari's Govt, they remitted N7.8bn."

The question therefore Is, what has happened to approximately N280 billion? ( an average of N7 billion x 40) People stole these monies, not snakes.

A probe of jamb in the past and some massive arrest would and should at least give is about N100billion.

A jamb probe will not get these crazy sensationalisation and we would have added plenty more people into our list of corrupt people.

What we have seen is the effort of one good man, whose headship is tenured. So what next after Oloyede?

Thesame question can be asked about the over N80 billion the Finance Minister claimed to have saved as payments to ghost workers. Those massive loot which has gone u hindered for years was done through bank account. Are we just going to stop at referring to them as lost. We may have lost about N800 billion in ten years to ghost workers. ( N80 billion x10)
