Characteristics of an Information Warrior

My tour of duty as an "information warrior" began just after the 9/11 attacks, seventeen (seventeen!) years ago. A co-worker had some "extreme" views on what happened: Israel did it, was his contention.

Of course, this was radically different from what we were being told on the news. I started reading .. and watching .. and it did not take long at all for me to fall headlong down a rabbit hole containing mysteries and wonderment that I could scarce imagine. Did Israel do 9/11? I have no idea. But I do know this: the official story is absolute, proven bullshit, and we've been lied to at every turn. Where did the molten steel come from? The nano-thermite? How did building 7 collapse? Where is the airport footage? Where is the pentagon footage? How did the van full of Israelis have foreknowledge of the event? Lucky Larry? The Bush security company? The clearly faked eye witnesses? The list of anomalies goes on and on. Clearly it was a false flag.

And the rabbit hole just gets deeper ..

When you start unravelling the threads of pretty much anything .. you'll find the mainstream presentation on it to be lacking, or an outright fabrication.

Through lies of omission, slanted reporting, and a thousand and one other dishonest tactics, the media feeds us a diet of information that is very lacking. When they mention middle eastern conflicts, for example, they always fail to add "a war we now know was based on lies", a tagline that fits pretty much all of the middle eastern conflict. When they mention Bill Clinton, they fail to say "serial sexual predator." When they mention the CIA, it is often in tones of reverence and respect: they fail to note projects like MK Ultra, radiation/poison experiments done on US citizens, the litany of lies they've told, etc.

At this point, if it comes from the mainstream, I KNOW it is a lie. That's all they can do nowadays, as lies must be told to keep the game going.

In thinking about all of these things, it occurred to me that while information is a great part of being an information warrior, there is a lot more to it. We can get lost in the "intel/information" part of it, and lose sight of some related, important aspects.

I came up with a list of what I think it means to be an Information Warrior .. and some attributes which will likely be shared by many of us.

Here are some other traits and characteristics that, in my view, make a good Information warrior.

(1) Politically, they are not part of one of the mainstream political parties. Information warriors know most major parties are "on the same team", more or less working for the same people, with roughly the same goals (which include globalism, decreased rights and freedoms for citizens, destruction of strong national identities, destruction of the family, destruction of the community, and all sorts of other fun things.) Why? Profit and control for the ultra wealthy. Politicians are, by and large, puppets .. and Information Warriors know it.

(2) Socially, they are probably a bit of a black sheep. Information warriors do not tend to be super popular people as their thoughts on things are often seen as "doom and gloom conspiracy theories" by others. Only the most masterful information warriors will get to a point where they can disseminate this information in a way that does not alienate others (hint: one tiny, tiny bit at a time.)

(3) Technologically, Information Warriors are SHARP. They will avoid google, gmail, facebook, and all the other mainstream, we-spy-on-everything-you-do type providers. They will not use products by Microsoft or Apple, and will tend to gravitate towards security-focused open source software. Info Warriors are aware that the Internet is a warzone and will take precautions to ensure they are doing everything they can to stay secure, anonymous and private. VPNs, firewalls, proxy servers: all a given. At this point, I think it is fair to say that if you are still using any of the bad products mentioned above, you are really half assing it.

(4) Information Warriors know how fragile the banking system is and will have alternative forms of money available to them. For some, this will be gold and silver. For others, it will be crypto. Others still, hard assets. The smartest Information Warriors will have all of the above, and thus have at least some protection from a tenuous, failing financial system. We may differ in our approaches, but we all know the banking systems are bad, and due for major problems.

(5) Physically, Information warriors understand the importance of health, and seek to keep themselves in good, physically fit condition. You can't fight for freedom and truth if you're dead. Information Warriors may very well avoid a lot of conventional medicine, recognizing its origins (Rockefeller.)

(6) Spiritually, Information Warriors know that all of the major religions have been co-opted and perverted from their original intent. We know the vatican is criminal in the extreme. We know the religion of peace is anything but. Although we may differ on what we believe, spiritually, we are all clear on the fact that most modern churches are a fraud.

(7) Information Warriors are independent thinkers. They formulate their own thoughts based on materials they review. They do not have their opinions handed to them.

(8) Information warriors act holistically: they consider all of their actions in greater context. They watch their words, they carefully choose the products they buy, and generally, they only expend energy on positive things. As much as possible, Information warriors do not contribute to systems of their own demise.

(9) Information warriors are on top of the news: they know what is happening before everyone else. Some of the best ones use http://walkran.com to do this!

(10) Information warriors are strong learners, and seek to evolve. As new skills and knowledge are required, they are acquired. An Information Warrior can learn anything if they set their sights on it. Self sufficiency, in some form, is important to all Information Warriors.

Being an information warrior is about many aspects of living, and goes far beyond "information." Those of us who take the time to search will find information that casts great questions about all aspects of life: as such, is it at all surprise that being an information warrior can touch every part of your life? Not really!

What do you think makes a good information warrior? I'd like to hear.

(11) Information warriors are quite old

I mean: I'm forty now and I'm no where near posessing most of the characteristics on this list (still not on top of servers, and am struggling with a bunch of Apple hardware I unthinkingly bought a few years ago...)! Hopefully I'll be there some day soon, but I sure won't be a spring chicken when it happens!

I am in my low 30s :)

For most things, servers are easy.. a config file for your service, a daemon that runs based on the config file, and maybe some directories or additional bits. Most network services fit right into that paradigm. If you have any questions or whatnot, fire away.

Apple ... yeah, live and learn..

Forty is the new twenty. :)

Hope you're right ;)

Like most trades people en devour to to take-on, you have to start from the bottom and work your way up. Experience or at least being wise enough to listen to those who are. Great post. Warrior clan forever!

SEEEEEEEE!!!!! I'm NOT crazy! :)
