I agree that people should be made aware of the problems of wireless. I personally still use wired connections to the internet whenever possible.
The problem with having the effort led by political groups like the school system is that such bodies have a tendency to monitor and censor information.
Let's face it, our schools would consider an article from SteemIt to be more highly charged than one from Wikipedia and would use whatever power is given to them to protect our kids from technology to protect them from ideas they dislike.
I would love to see the science evolve and for people to develop and use alternatives to wireless, but I wouldn't trust the school system from San Francisco to do what is in the best interest of the students.
This just allows the kids to have whatever they are already being taught in a less toxic environment. What they are being taught is a whole other topic.
