Human beings for existential reasons live in society, in an active, continuous and permanent interaction; At present in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as a living society of approximately thirty million inhabitants, this interaction has some peculiarities that are worth commenting on below.
Venezuelan society composed of urban and rural sectors, before a disturbance of the economy, we are living a strong alteration in the process of production, distribution, marketing and consumption of goods and services.
Highlighting inflation and speculation in the acquisition of basic products for food, personal hygiene, health, among others; generating Venezuelan families in an initial phase anguish, despair and worry; where the members of the families have assumed diverse behaviors, between which they emphasize:
An attitude of generalized complaints, manifest in homes, public places such as transport stop, work sites, sports fields, markets, etc. Another attitude of blaming the Venezuelan State as the alleged responsible for not stabilizing the economy in a diatribe and polarization product of the economic model implemented. Likewise, a group of Venezuelans has assumed to migrate from the country in the face of the difficult economic situation; but in the particular, I express my astonishment for a great majority of Venezuelans (as) that the fact of being immersed in a problem of economic instability, have assumed a firm attitude of commitment, nationalism and reunion with techniques and food habits of the generations past peasants; standing out, changes in food habits, corn flour, pre-industrial cooking is replaced by peeled and peeled corn, processed by each family to obtain the traditional corn arepa; The coffee replaced by roasted corn flour and the fruit of a plant known as chocolate, which is roasted, ground and cooked as a morning and afternoon drink; industrial sweets, replaced by toasted corn flour known as harinita and ice cream made by recognized brands, replaced by homemade ice cream made of fruits known as tits; the stews prepared commonly with industrial vegetable oil are replaced by the steaming technique; industrially manufactured detergents is replaced by the fruit of a plant known as parapara, whose shell is submerged in water and a natural detergent is obtained, and so another number of cases that could be cited.
It is amazing how these families exchange popular, traditional, ancestral knowledge, producing a reunion product of the need to satisfy basic needs and values of solidarity, sincerity, responsibility and incredibly love for the land and the ancestral agricultural activities have flourished; Finally, I can say that although I suffer from the need for food, I have no choice but to reflect, assume and express "How this crisis is teaching us to believe in ourselves"
