Another cheat Inktober from me. Which I had thus called the Fauxtober (please, pronounce it as "fo-tober"). Oh, it's coz I am doing it digitally, against the rules mentioned here.
At least I followed the prompt "whale" :P
Process
I began drafting the first object. Can you guess what it is? Yes, so smart (:P)
It's still so weird. Why is Baldy so large? Competing with the whale?
Now I get started with some real inking! (I mean digital inking) I added those lines there for the weird whale beard thingy.
Now with lines and color blocks in place, ...
I'm ready to play with clipping masks!!! :D (Sorry, can't explain, just watch my video!)
Final Result
What a terrible Inktober! Who'd be able to traditionally ink the same way as I do the gradient shading!!!

@ around 54:00 and 57:00 you are using a layer with a mask and it is called layer mask (the one on the right side of the chain icon).
you can only use black and white color to show or hide what's on the layer.
Oh, cool! Thanks for telling me! :D
I think I knew its showing / hiding function (sooo freaking useful!) -- just didn't know for sure that it was only affected by uhm black and white!
Thanks again, justnyz! :)
I think it turned out adorable!! I love the whale he is so cute I want to kiss him! hehehe
Ahaha, lol!
