RE: The Parts of a Solar Power System You Need Besides Panels and Batteries

in #inleo12 days ago

Absolutely brilliant!
I love how this in theory can run a minor or two (of the 400w ones) all by itself.
Do you think it would be wise to mix solar and wind power? I saw a windmill designed for it that could generate up to 2400w per day (if I remember correctly).

Have been thinking about setting this up myself, and I had some components in my basement. Someone broke into my basement a while back and I lost my rigs and power equipment along with a few other things.

Ah that sucks man, I hate thieves. I have thought about wind and may look into it in future with another rig. This rig, I am pretty much maxed out. I plan on getting another panel in the future to have 4- 300W panels. This way I can go to 24V, can't with 3 panels. I did buy 2 monster batteries though that I will run in parallel until I get the 4th panel, then I will go into series to make 24V. My charge controller can only handle 900W at 12V, but can go to 1700W at 24V.

Same! Worst part, for me, is the fact that the insurance company said they don't cover that because of their policy. I made clear when I signed it, that it would cover, but the fuckers didn't understand what I meant apparently. Nearly $10k out the window.

Sounds like you got it all mapped out with that setup 😃

Here's the !DUO that failed yesterday 😁
