Alright! Those are my Three picks for this Tuesday morning! Bands from the #FirstWave that included punk/Post-Post/New-Wave & more!
Below for bonus tunes I’m going to pick three bands from the nineties who each were directly heavily influenced by the bands above!
First Bonus Tune up I’m picking a band that heavily was influenced by third tune above (Missing Persons) The band No Doubt and Gwen in particular was so heavily influenced by Missing Persons! It’s the song New (1999) by No Doubt! ⬇️
Even can hear it on the earlier 1995 album on a song like Sunday Morning ⬇️
Next Bonus Tune it’s an artist who was heavily influenced by our second tune above (Gary Numan). It’s Nine Inch Nails and the song Head Like A Hole! (1989)
Last Bonus Tune up it’s a band heavily influenced by our first tune above (English Beat). It’s the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the song The Rascal King (1997)
Happy Three Tune Tuesday! 🎸🎙️

Good stuff! First time I have seen Numan with the Nine Inch Nails, that was pretty cool! Mental Hopscotch was a new on for me too, that was a very early one.
Mirror in the Bathroom is beyond amazing, great song! The English Beat were awesome, but so were General Public and Fine Young Cannibals too a lesser extent.
No Doubt, great song! Mighty Mighty Bosstones, what a great song. Substitute in Dave Wakeling and it could have been an English Beat tune!
Great job!

I wish I was born sooner so I could have seen bands live in early eighties! I’m not greedy and don’t need to see the Beatles! Being born in 1964 20 years sooner would be just fine for me 😂
The eighties were awesome, had I been a few years older myself I would have spent a lot of time on the Sunset Strip in L.A.!
I need more of Gary Numan
That guy is so good!
Here you go!
Love that😍😍😍
Those came out in 1979. These two below were 38 years later in 2018 ⬇️
