Alas, my health hasn't been very good for the last year and I was warned not to get up ladders let alone go onto the roof to clean out my gutters or hang lights. At least I put out a very modest few light strings along my front stairs handrails so visitors and guests could negotiate the way to my door safely when its dark.
There used to be more homes with very elaborate light displays but a lot of folks cut back due to the high cost of energy and rising cost of living here nowadays. I dropped a few more home Christmas lights photos among all the comments on this post. The Christmas spirit is still here, even in a poor economy.
