I think it's a great thing that subscriptions have been brought to Hive via LEO. Kudos to Khal and the team for doing this!
It's testimony to the functionality of the ecosystem that we can integrate something like this via HBDs, but easier said than done so I appreciate the dev skills at work in the background!
And NB I think HBDs are the most underated stable coin in existence - don't take those bad boys for granted!

The upsides...
If there is anyone who is producing consistently good quality content I'd happily support them by subscribing to them.
I mean it's easy right- as easy as paying foe yr INLEO sub and I like the synergy with that!
Keeping it 'in house' bringing it in house as well springs to mind, this can only help attract more users to Hive n Leo -
The option of having a stable income is more appealing than the hit and miss of upvotes, but you can still get upvotes...
And the blend of maybe having a guaranteed income via HBD subs and then the potential for more income via upvotes is cool.
And this shld incentivize quality. I mean I'm no stranger to producing quality content but TBH I don't do that on Hive - but I know Hive would benefit from that.
Compared to other crypto publishing platforms like PublishOX Hive is easily superior, nothing else I don't think has that regular income option.
The downsides....
Literally the only content I subscribe to IRL is...The Week! I pay around $15 a month for that and that's a collection of the best journalism from the international news feeds, that's how tight I am.
So for $5 a month an individual has to be offering A LOT in comparison.

Agree, HBD keeps its value, which is almost equal to $1, for a long time and we are paid %15 yearly interest by saving it.
