I've been on this blockchain for roughly 8 years. In that time I was someone full of hope for this blockchain and a frequent content creator.
I'm a rather loyal person. Thus, I stick it out with things and even if it may not be for the best at times. It does allow me to clearly see themes.
The more things change the more they stay the same...
It's been 8 years of the same stuff. With all the Dapps and services that have been built on the HIVE blockchain, there still hasn't been real growth and the narrative is the same.
Am I in high school still?
The in-fighting like high school kids is the narrative. Yes, there are plenty of collabs that happen, but at the end of the day the overarching narrative is in-fighting like high schoolers.

Why can't we uplift one another?
Something needs to change. It starts with the powers that be, the large stake holders, the witnesses, the dapp operators.
What happened to TOWN HALLS? I'd be happy to play host and have everyone come together.
Also, I understand desires for privacy, but if you are a top 20 witness or operate a top Dapp and you want to remain anonymous its not a great look. User bases want to know who it is they are supporting that are making big decisions. If you are just a large stakeholder then yeah it makes sense being anonymous.
Let's be clear. This post is not meant to be negative. It is meant to hopefully spark some positive change. Show me why we as users should stay.

I think with maturity comes a need and ability to have honest and difficult conversations. In highschool, kids talk about each other behind their backs. Here on the chain, it's in the open and if an individual is being called out, they're often tagged.
Conflict breeds strength, durability, comradery and compromise. We are a resilient bunch. We can handle some honest and direct conversations between us.
I agree in generally. Would love to see much more compromise and maturity though. Its a bit behind the curve
