Something similar happened to me when my mother died unexpectedly during a time when I already had a ridiculous amount of stress in my life. The root cause for me turned out to be an eating disorder (ARFID) that got triggered by all the stress hitting all at once. I hope you are able to find one or more root causes as well! Not gonna lie, it's been a long road back, but the fight has also been very worthwhile, allowing me to finally start living again.
